We consist of myself (Steve), my wife (Jenny), and our kids Damien (the eldest), Reuben and Emma (the youngest). In January 2005, Emma's first child, Chloe, was born, and her second, Kimberley was born in January 2009. Emma's partner is Paul. Reuben's partner is Dawn. Damien is unmarried, with a son, Wyatt, born in December 2006.
Damien has considerable skill in computer technology and he likes building his own PCs. Reuben is busy with his own activities in painting wargames figures. Emma is currently concentrating on her new family. Both Reuben and Emma belonged to a local performance group, The Springfield Follies, appearing annually in pantomimes during the early months and variety shows in late Spring. Emma has left the group since moving out of the home town.
Jenny helps our friend John with his disco' most weekends. She also plays darts in a competitive local league, frequently winning several trophies a year. Aside from these activities, she's an accomplished cross-stitcher and has completed many patterns, both commercial and home-produced. Her biggest project to date has to be a large rendition of a black-and-white photo' from her mother's wedding day, the pattern for which we created ourselves on the PC from a scan of the original photo'.
Currently, most of us live in Ipswich (England), within a short distance of each other. The town is definitely nothing special (far from our taste, in fact) but the region (East Anglia) has some stunning landscapes, from the flatness of the Fens to rolling hills, from sandy beaches to ancient woodlands, from spectacular (if crumbling) sea cliffs to beautiful rivers. That's probably why so many artists live in the region. Unfortunately, the area is suffering as much as anywhere from constant new development and "modernisation" and we fear for the quality of our future landscapes. Emma now lives on the outskirts of Braintree, a thriving town in Essex.
