The
most important thing is Family! That's why this site is so
old-fashioned in many respects.
What do I
like doing? Well, there are many things but I suppose I now
specialise in Beading. I did
thatfor several years, but I used to do
quite a lot of knitting before. I have dabbled in embroidery,
and quite enjoyed tapestry and rug making. Recently, I started
making "Scoubies" (of which I now have quite a stockpile) and I've
branched out into other crafts, like rubber stamping,
embossing, and card making.

A forum for all crafters has been set up by Steve at:
CraftBoard
this has been a tremendous success and has
already established a wonderful community!
Very recently, I started making
roses out of ribbons, which has got me really interested in
ribbon craft! There are some pics here!
My main theme will always be Fantasy as I have a passion for
Dragons and Unicorns (my collection of fantasy figurines is
growing constantly!) but I also love Eeyore from Winnie-the-Pooh
and he is beginning to feature more often.
Apart from crafts, I also like reading. My favourite author is
Anne McCaffrey, closely followed by David Eddings and Raymond
Feist. This might make it sound like I have quite a narrow taste
in books, but that's not accurate: I like a wide range of
genres.
On many Fridays and most Saturdays, I help a friend with his
Disco' ("Staying Alive"), and we have established such a good
reputation that bookings are often made up to 18 months
ahead!
On most Tuesdays, I play darts in a local team. We've enjoyed
considerable success and won many trophies.
Some of my favourite photo's are here.

A major interest that I really enjoy is watching military jets -
particularly Harriers and Tornados. As such, Steve and I go to
Lowestoft Air Festival and Clacton Air Show each year. This year
(2005) we're also going to Southend Air Show. Apart from air
shows, we've been to look at RAF Coltishall, RAF Marham, RAF
Mildenhall/Lakenheath, RAF Wattisham, and RAF Honnington and we
have plans to visit other air bases. Some of the photo's that
Steve has taken can be seen here.
One of my favourite places withoutaircraft but still related is the Radar and
Air Defence Museum at Neatishead in Norfolk, close by the now
defunct RAF Neatishead.
